SH Branch: Recording Gardens Workshop

28 July 2019 @ 10:00 am - 3:00 pm AEST

As the AGHS approaches its 40th anniversary we reflect upon the importance of historic gardens, take stock of the gardens of today and guide their conservation and resilience for future generations.

Using the AGHS manual published in 2018, we will hold a workshop on 28 July. Four distinguished speakers will talk about the importance of recording the history of your garden and offer practical guidance for drawing and photographing your garden.

The guest speakers are Professor Craig Burton, Ashley Macevicius, Chris Betteridge and Charlotte Webb OAM.

The talks will conclude in a field demonstration at “Moidart”, considered one of the finest Southern Highlands gardens to be laid out in the interwar years, and one which remains virtually intact today.

Morning tea and lunch will be provided.

Venue: Henrietta Rose Room, 16 Bendooley Street, Bowral, followed by a short drive or car pool to a field demonstration at ‘Moidart’, Eridge Park Road, Bowral

Event is sold out!
