TAS Branch: Garden visit and lunch at High Peak, Neika

4 November 2017 @ 12:00 pm AEDT

Lunch will be served at 12 noon, followed by a tour of the garden.

High Peak, on the slopes of Mt Wellington, is at 1122 Huon Road Neika. The house is Queen Anne style built in 1891. The extensive garden was begun soon after the house was completed, its early establishment evidenced by the huge old conifers on the drive and the many large old trees and shrubs, including many magnificent rhododendrons.

Read more about the history of the house and garden in Carol Bacon’s report: History of High Peak.

Directions: High Peak is on the upper side of Huon Road. Enter the property through the front gate. Parking will be available at the rear of the property.

Cost: members $45, non-members $55. This includes a basket lunch with wine and soft drink (BYO hot drinks). Please note that we are unable to cater for special dietary requirements.

Bookings close on 25 October. Numbers are limited so please contact Greg Clota before booking to see whether places are available at or phone (03) 6239 1409.
