ACT Monaro Riverina Branch: Four Gardens of the Monaro

21 April 2023 @ 10:15 am - 3:00 pm AEST

On Friday 21 April we have the opportunity for an autumn visit to four lovely Monaro gardens, two in Cooma, followed by two a little further south, near Nimmitabel. This will be a self-drive day, with arrival at our first garden visit planned for 10.15 am. We plan to allow everyone good time to visit and enjoy the four gardens and arrive back in Canberra before dark.

We start in Cooma at Anne and Howard Charles’ garden (morning tea served), followed by a visit to Jenny Slatyer and Imants Tiller’s garden Blairgowrie. We then drive south to Nimmitabel and will have lunch (bring your own picnic) at Mia Mia, the home of John Rose and Denham Williams. Our final garden is Lainie Lawson’s garden Erindale, just north of Nimmitabel.

Cost: $30 AGHS members, $35 non AGHS members.

Book: at Trybooking. Numbers are limited. Bookings are essential.

Bring: your picnic lunch (tea/coffee etc to drink at lunch time provided).

Wear: Make sure you wear clothing suitable for the day – and wear sensible shoes!

Inquiries: Nancy Clarke 0423690626 or clarkenancy624@gmail.com.
