Synopsis

Linda Green was a member of the West Australian branch of the Australian Garden History Society and while having full time employment, attended the trips and visits to historic gardens organised by the Society. She has studied horticulture at Bentley TAFE, where she had contact with John Viska. Eventually, Linda became a member of the WA Committee for AGHS and for a time, was the WA rep on the NMC. Linda participated in the development of tours and excursions and assisted the Fremantle Conference Committee for the first national conference hosted by the WA branch in 1998. She speaks of how she developed a specific tour near Pinjarra for the branch.

Linda speaks of her childhood spent in the Perth hills, specifically Parkerville where she came in contact with gardens and wildflowers. Attached to the transcription of her audio interview is her expanded written account of this time, with detailed information about particular gardens, people and plants.
