Join us to explore Coolart Homestead, grounds and wetlands located on the Mornington Peninsula at Somers. The house is early Victorian dating from 1895 with formal gardens and many native and exotic plants.
After morning tea at Lisa Nutting’s house, walk or drive to nearby Coolart where we will assemble in the bird hide for a talk on the history of the property followed by an outline of the wetlands and work of the Friends of Coolart. Vegetables will be for sale from the community garden. You can then stroll around the property and have a glimpse inside the historic house. BYO lunch to enjoy at your leisure and maybe explore the coastal surroundings.
