ACT Monaro Riverina Branch: Visit to the Australian National Botanic Gardens

Join us for our first event of the year at the Australian National Botanic Gardens which is home to Australia’s largest collection of native plants.
We will meet at the Theatrette at 10 am for a 15-minute presentation about the establishment and development of the Gardens. We will then divide into groups of 10 people for a 45-minute walk with experienced guides. There will also be a shorter walk available and the option for 10 members with mobility issues to ride in the Flora explorer bus. About 11.30 am we will meet at Pollen, the cafe at the Gardens, where tables have been reserved and refreshments can be ordered at your own expense.
There is ample parking at the Gardens, though there is a modest fee. It might be good to car pool.
Cost: $12 AGHS members, $16 others.
Bookings: Will open late January.
Inquiries: Sue Cassidy, actmrtreas@gardenhistorysociety.org.au or 0431 925 895.
