Qld Branch: Garden visit to historic Nindooinbah

20 April 2021 @ 11:00 am - 4:00 pm AEST

Visit to historic Nindooinbah (near Beaudesert) by the kind invitation from owners Kaye and Euan Murdoch.

The land was selected and occupied in the mid 1800s and, in the early 1900s, noted architect Robin Dods designed a magnificent extension to the existing house. The tea house was the inspiration of Margaret Hockey’s (née Persse) husband Patrick Hockey. The original garden design and plantings have, over generations of owners, been overlaid with new designs and plantings. This property gives a great insight into the history and continuing development of a magnificent rural estate in southern Queensland. (Featured in Australian House and Garden March 2020 edition).

This is a self-drive trip (consider car pooling).
