Presentation: Barbara Levien – Gardens and Music

In this illustrated presentation, we will explore how gardens can find unexpected musical parallels through their structure, atmosphere, cultural influences and sense of place. With images and listening examples, we will consider how a garden might be experienced not only as a landscape to be seen, but also as a soundscape to be heard. Barbara is a retired music educator, lecturer at the University of the Third Age and a presenter on 4MBS Classic FM Radio.

Venue: Ashgrove Library, Amarina Avenue, Ashgrove
