Northern NSW Branch: A self-drive weekend visit to three wonderful Coffs Harbour private gardens

6 April - 7 April

A self-drive weekend visit to three wonderful Coffs Harbour private gardens, and possibly two Woolgoolga gardens.

Arriving on Friday afternoon or evening, we’ll make our own accommodation bookings for two nights, most likely at Pacific Bay Resort.  This venue also provides us with a dinner venue and car parking.

Saturday morning will see us taking a drive (car pooled) to Korora and up onto the hills for a visit to the beautiful garden of Brian Thomas and Scott Carter.  With spectacular views, this garden has been built into the steep site with amazing effect.  This is also our morning tea venue.

Lunch will be at our own cost, with a booking made for us at a beachside location.

The afternoon visit will be to the wonderful garden of our friends, Graham and Graham, who have lovingly tended the site for many years.  We will also enjoy afternoon drinks in the garden before returning to our accommodation and dinner.

Our Sunday morning visit will be to Woolgoolga where we will enjoy a couple of hours exploring gardens in this intriguing location.  Lunch will also be taken at this venue.

We will then make our way to Bonville and the garden of Prue and Peter Young.  Their delightful garden has grown under tender care for a number of years.

From Bonville, we will make our way home, no doubt happily inspired by our visit to these wonderful coastal gardens.

More details will be provided soon, so watch for our February newsletter or this webpage for more information.

Please let Helen W (g.wilson42@bigpond.com) know soon if you are likely to attend.
