Tasmania Branch: AGM with guest speaker
The AGM of the Tasmanian Branch of AGHS will be followed by guest speaker Dr Jane Deeth on the reassignment of Mr. Glover’s House & Garden.
In 2016, Patterdale, the Georgian home of colonial artist John Glover, almost collapsed. It had almost done so decades before. Why did this happen? How was it saved? And has it been worth the effort?
Dr Jane Deeth, curator, educator and writer, was the inaugural curator of the Glover Prize from 2004 until 2017. Most relevant to today’s talk, since 2016 Jane has been a consultant to Glover Country, focusing on bringing the experience of the landscape at Glover’s property, Patterdale, to a wider audience.
